Hello!
Welcome to Smithtainment Gaming's new forums! We decided to bring back the old forum layout, this time with significant overhauls to boost stability and loading speed. We're hoping that this change will make it more intuitive to find important information, as it is more like a traditional forum layout.
Few Key Changes: - Each server group has its own important information, announcements, and discussion sections.
- Applications and appeals can now be done directly on the forums, with a standard application/appeal layout and more streamlined guidelines and instructions.
- The server list is back, this time with faster load times and live data directly from the servers.
- Staff roles are more defined. Staff now have rank-specific roles instead of a general-purpose "staff" rank.
- "Spam, Spam, Spam!" has made a triumphant return for all your shitposting needs...
Most of the important key documents have already been transferred over to the new forums. Join the new forums here.

Hey Smithtainment Gaming Members!
Sometimes forum links may get a bit unwieldy, especially for important documents. This might make getting the correct link on the fly pretty difficult. I've added some quick links that will make it easier for our members to share important documents on the server. Below are all the quick links that are supported.

Please read the following before posting your appeal. If you do not post your appeal in the correct place or using the correct format, your appeal may be delayed or denied! The required format and template are located below.
All Miscellaneous Garry's Mod appeals should be posted under the appeals section. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE PROPHUNT OR TTT APPEALS!!!!! Users can only see appeals that they have submitted, so this page may appear blank if you don't have an active ban or warn appeal.
You should indicate what you are appealing in the title of the appeal (ban. warning, or other penalty). If you are NOT appealing a warning or ban, you should be specific about what penalty you are appealing.
Guidelines and Requirements
- When posting an appeal do not be disrespectful towards the staff that warned or banned you. This will result in your appeal being denied. Depending on the severity, violators may lose their ability to appeal future bans or warns on the network.
- Be as honest and sincere as you can. Try to include as much relevant information as possible.
- Don't be afraid to admit your mistakes. A much stronger appeal acknowledges the actions that led up to a ban or warning and demonstrates remorse.
- Do not post a warning appeal if you were banned due to warnings. You should post a ban appeal instead.
- Accepting/denying an appeal is generally under the purview of the server's head administrator. If a donor item/rank is involved, the network owner has the final say.
- Please respond to any staff inquiries or comments. Failure to respond will slow down the appeal process and could lead to automatic denial due to inactivity.
Server, Global, or Network Bans
- Most bans are the result of a server ban. These bans can be appealed immediately following a ban being issued.
- Global or Network Bans should be appealed in the Global & Network Ban Appeals section.
- If you are unsure of what type of ban you have, if your ban reason says "AUTOMATIC: Network Banned" you must submit your appeal in the Global & Network Ban Appeals section. If you see a reason behind your ban, you can submit an appeal here.
Required Format
Please paste the following format into your application. You should respond to all questions before submitting. Please put your answers where it says {Answer Here}.
1) What is your Steam ID?
{Answer Here}
2) What are you appealing? (Ban, Warn, or Other)
{Answer Here}
3) Which staff member applied this punishment to you?
{Answer Here}
4) What is the reason for the ban/warning/penalty?
{Answer Here}
5) When were you banned/warned/penalized?
{Answer Here}
6) In as much detail as is required, why do you feel that your ban/warning/penalty should be removed?

Please read the following before posting your application. If you do not post your application in the correct place or using the correct format, your application may be delayed or denied! The required format and template are located below.
All Miscellaneous Garry's Mod applications should be posted under the applications section. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE PROPHUNT OR TTT APPLICATIONS!!!!! Users can only see applications that they have submitted, so this page may appear blank if you don't have an active application.
Guidelines and Requirements
A few things to keep in mind before posting an application: - The more thorough your answers, the more likely your application will be accepted. Being overly verbose just for the sake of being verbose is not recommended.
- You can only have one application open at a time. You cannot apply for multiple servers at the same time.
- You must be 15 years of age or older to apply for staff on the server. Any applicant who applies under the age of 15 will be denied. Lying about your age on an application could result in a network ban.
- You must have over 75 hours of playtime on the game you are applying for. You must have over 5 hours of playtime on the server you are applying for. While these are the minimum requirements, more experienced players with more playtime in either of these categories will be more likely to be accepted.
- You must have your Steam profile set to public or friends only before submitting your application.
- You must have access to a microphone. You aren't required to use it in-game (though it is recommended) but you have to have a microphone available for staff training if accepted.
- Anyone who is banned from the server they are applying for cannot apply for staff while banned.
- Anyone who has been denied 3 or more times consecutively cannot apply for staff.
- You must be a member of the steam group, discord server, and support discord before applying for staff.
For more information on what the application and training process entails, please read the Application Process and Procedure document. (RECOMMENDED)

Network and global staff members are individuals with the power to moderate or administrate multiple servers on the network. - Network staff typically serve administrative roles, such as managing network bans and monitoring staff team and server performance.
- Global staff members typically act as a supplement to the server's staff team.
Network Owner
The one and only...
Network Manager
Network managers are second in command, behind the network owner. Usually have broad-sweeping jurisdiction over network servers and services. They are the principal enforcers of the network rules and terms of service.
Executive Administrator
Executive administrators are network staff members who usually act as a supplement to the network staff team and development team. Usually serve administrative functions such as managing critical network infrastructure (e.g. network databases, forums, bots).
Global Administrator
Global administrators are global staff members who supplement server administrative teams. Usually have the same authority on the servers as an administrator. Can have power on multiple servers or all network servers.- Ace: Mohawk Bandito
- Fluffkami
Global Moderators
Global moderators are global staff members who supplement server moderation teams. Usually have the same authority on the servers as a moderator. Can have power on multiple servers or all network servers.
Global and Network staff are staff members across the entire Smithatinment Network. Servers next to a persons name indicate they only have staff on those servers.

Network Rules
The Smithtainment Gaming Network consists of several game servers. While each server has its own rules and staff members, the entire network also has its own independent rules.
Server-Specific Rules
You are expected to read and understand these rules. Ignorance of the rules is not an acceptable excuse.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU NEED TO USE COMMON SENSE WHILE PLAYING ON OUR SERVER (unless you’re fooling around then tell the Administrators/Moderators). If there are very few people online we don’t care if you mess around as long as the people online agree.
—-DO NOT DO THE FOLLOWING—-
- Do NOT free-run unless all deaths agree to it.
- You CANNOT trap spam. This is when you activate all of the traps without any reason to.
- Do NOT delay the game. This includes camping at the runner spawn.
- Do NOT death evade. Your job is to kill all the runners.
- Do NOT abuse the vote controls; You are limited to 1 vote per map.
INFRACTION CONSEQUENCES
The following actions may be taken in this order [unless violating a more serious offense]:- Players will receive warnings
- Players will be kicked from the server
- Players will be banned for up to a week
- Players will be banned permanently
- Bypassing a server ban can result in an IP ban
All rules are subject to change in the future, and more can be added in the future.
ANY DECISIONS MADE BY A MODERATOR/ADMINISTRATOR ARE FINAL!

—-DO NOT DO THE FOLLOWING—-
- Do NOT RDM (Random Deathmatch).
- Do NOT team. This means forming an alliance with the Murderer.
- Do NOT kill bind to avoid being a certain role.
- Do NOT false KOS. You always need to have a valid reason for KOSing someone.
- Do NOT murder bait. (Claim you are Murderer when you aren’t.)
- Do NOT camp to delay the game.
- Do NOT claim areas to be yours. Making areas to be auto-kosable is not allowed.
- Do NOT gun camp. This means standing on top of the gun so other players can’t get it. Murderers can however hide the gun. This doesn’t mean you can throw it out of the map.
- Do NOT body block, door block, prop push, prop block, etc.
- Do NOT KOS someone based on their player model.
- Do NOT abuse the “push” feature. If someone wants you to stop then you need to stop.
- Do NOT prop surf.
