YouTube and MP4 Tag Support

#1
Quick little minor update thingy for everyone.

The forums do in fact support both YouTube and MP4 embedding. If other video sharing methods become more popular I may add support to them as well. Below is how you can insert YouTube and MP4 videos into your posts. WYSIWYG editing is not supported in the editor for either of these formats, but you can click the "Preview Post" button to make sure that your video is properly embedded.

YouTube
A YouTube video can be inserted into a post using the following syntax...

Code:
[youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDaOYj2wggg[/youtube]

Which outputs the following result.

When using the [youtube] tag, make sure that the video URL is in the same general format as shown above. Links from https://youtu.be or other variants of the URL may not be supported.

Raw Video Link
While the forums do not support direct video uploads, we do support embedding raw video files from remote addresses. Only videos from SECURE links will be embedded. If the video link has "http://" instead of "https://" it will not appear on the forums! You have to include the extension of the video in the tag for it to work!!! You can post a raw video file using the below syntax...

Code:
[video=mp4]https://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/gtv-videos-bucket/sample/BigBuckBunny.mp4[/video]

Which outputs the following result.

Raw Audio Link
While the forums do not support direct audio uploads, we do support embedding raw audio files from remote addresses. Only sounds from SECURE links will be embedded. If the link has "http://" instead of "https://" it will not appear on the forums! You have to include the extension of the sound in the tag for it to work!!! You can post a raw audio file using the below syntax...

Code:
[audio=mp3]https://api.smithtainment.com/assets/nuru_the_tiny_tornado.mp3[/audio]

Which outputs the following result.

Now Supporting: Medal.TV
The forums supports embedding of medal.tv clips. You can input using the following syntax. Please verify that the clip's link is in the same format as the link below. To ensure full compatibility, I recommend you click the "copy link" button on the website instead of directly pasting in the URL.

Code:
[medal]https://medal.tv/games/minecraft/clips/3NKCUwsE0UeYz?invite=cr-MSxRenQsMjc2NjYwNzc5LA[/medal]

Which outputs the following result.
